PASTORAL CARE COMMITTEE
The purpose of the Pastoral Care Committee is to help identify and assist in providing for the pastoral care needs of the Parish as provided for in the St. Michael Parish Mission Statement. This includes the sick, homebound, hospitalized and those experiencing a loss in their lives. The Pastoral Care Committee meets the 4th Tuesday of every month at 4:00 p.m. in the Parish Office.

BEFRIENDER MINISTRY
BeFrienders are trained lay people who respond in the name of St. Michael Church to the emotional and spiritual needs of people by bringing a caring presence and a living reminder of God's love.

GRIEF GROUP
Our parish is involved with 15 other churches in this area in a program called Growing through Loss. This program deals with all the unique losses that occur in our lives. This program is offered twice a yea in the Fall and Winter..

HOMEBOUND EUCHARISTIC MINISTRY
Trained parishioners bring Eucharist to people who are unable to receive communion within the parish Community.

Meals on Wheels
St. Michael parishioners help to deliver meals to shut-ins in Prior Lake from Prior Manor. Drivers are needed over the noon hour, Monday-Friday, one week a month to deliver meals to shut-ins. Contact Annette Thomas at 952-447-4280.

An intercessory prayer team that accepts telephone requests for personal needs. All calls are confidential.

Separated/divorced support
The church of St. Michael is a member of a ten church coalition for Separated/Divorced Catholics. this format includes a speaker and small group discussion. Groups meet weekly from October through April. Contact Deacon Dick Roy at 952-447-2491.

parish nurse ministry
A parish nurse is a registered nurse with an active Minnesota license who has specialized training in parish nursing. This ministry seeks to promote the health of the members of St. Michael through education of individuals and groups, as well as conferring with individuals as needed in a Christ-like supportive way.

FUNERAL MINISTRY
When a death occurs in your family, contact Father Sieg or Deacon Dick Roy. The family meets with the Pastor, Pastoral Minister and Director of Music to plan the Mass of Christian Burial.

FUNERAL LUNCHEON COMMITTEE
A Funeral Luncheon will be provided for families of deceased members here in the parish. Our committee will serve the meal in the Archangels Hall. We will order the food from the Village Market Deli. Also, any of your family, neighbors and friends are welcome to contribute hot dishes, cold salads and desserts for the luncheon.

GOLDENAGERS GROUP
All parishioners ages 55 and up are invited to be part of this social group. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month, with some special events throughout the year. Watch for our monthly events in the parish bulletin.

Card Ministry
Greeting card outreach to the sick, to those in bereavement, and to those age 55 and older on their birthday.

Care notes
reflecting ministry and compassion on various topics and concerns, these pamphlets are displayed in racks in the narthex and lower church entrances. All are welcome to take one.
