Aprilfest 2008
Aprilfest 2008 Planning Committee thanks the many volunteers who
braved the snow, wind and sleet to help make our parish festival
a success. Photos from the event will soon be on the Aprilfest

St. Michael celebrates 100 years
A brief story about the beginnings of this parish was written by
Jim Conroy. Jim's father was one of the men who helped move the
original church building from the north side of Spring Lake across
Prior Lake to Duluth Avenue. Read Jim's account here.
Book of Revelation ... A two-Session
Study
Join Vicki Pierson and Maureen Roy as they explore the Book of
Revelation in this two session study, Tuesday evenings
May 6
and May 13. These sessions will be repeated on Fridays, May 9 and
16 at 9:00 a.m. Get more info here.
Parish Council seeks new members
On Pentecost Sunday, May 11, three new members will be selected
for the Parish Council through a discernment process. If you
are interested or know someone you would like to recommend, please
submit your name to the Parish Office. The form for submitting
someones name can be downloaded here.
director of Middle School Faith
Formation
We have hired Rachel Olson as our new Director of Middle School
Faith Formation. She will begin her ministry on July 1, 2008. Rachel
will graduate from the Franciscan University of Stuebenville, Ohio
this spring.
St. Michael school Registration
2008-2009
Registration is still open for 2008-2009. St. Michael School
is fully accredited by the Minnesota non-Public Schools Academic
Association and offers: a Catholic faith-based learning environment,
academically challenging curriculum, small class sizes and much,
much more. Please contact the School Office at 952-447-2124

centennial Committee
Lynn Mandinec and Julie Herbst will act as coordinators for our
2008 celebration. If you or your group would like to plan an
event or activity to celebrate this Centennial year, please contact

vacation bible school ...
august 4-8
Registrations for Vacation Bible School will be accepted through
June 1. Children age 4 years through current 4th graders are invited
to participate.
If you are interested in helping with the program this
year, please contact Laura
Shupe.
$CRIP use benefits our parish
Consider using $CRIP Gift Certificates for many of your
purchases. The parish receives a percentage of the amount of
$CRIP that you purchase. It is available for a variety of vendors
and can be purchased at the Parish Office, School Office and
after the weekend Masses in the Pastoral Room. See

Centennial COOKBOOKs are available
The new St. Michael
Centennial Cook Book is available and may be purchased
at the Parish Office or School Office for $15 each. They contain
over 600 recipes submitted by the best cooks in Prior Lake and
the surrounding area. The cookbooks will be sold at many parish
functions.
Eucharist for the homebound
If you or someone you know is homebound and unable to attend Mass,
but would like to receive the Holy Eucharist, please contact
Mary Kay Velishek at 952-447-3209 or the Parish Office to make
arrangements.

1908 ~ 2008
The centenniel logo has been unveiled leading up to the St. Michael
Parish Centenniel Celebration next year, 2008. The Centenniel Committee
has been meeting and planning for the year long celebration. History
facts have been appearing in our bulletin to
help us learn more about our parish beginnings.

We hold in prayer all those parishioners serving in active military
duty, especially: Sara Speiker, Jennie Malecha, Jacob Zuccaro,
