Program Information

The aim of the Middle School Faith Formation Program is to help teens learn about their Catholic faith, bring their faith alive and develop a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Class Schedule: 7th & 8th graders meet on Wednesday evenings in the St. Michael Catholic School/Education Center gym.

7th Grade     5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
8th Grade     6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Jan 4 Regular schedule Social/Game Night. Students may bring snacks to share.
Jan 11 Regular schedule Introduction to social justice and human dignity.
Jan 18 7:00 p.m.-8:15 p.m.,  Church Speaker on bullying
Jan 25 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., Gym DJ bill and the Catholic Dance.
Feb 1 Regular Schedule Recap of earlier lessons, lesson on war
Feb 8 Regular Schedule Lesson on greed; Also, reconciliation prep
Feb 15 6:00 p.m., Church Sacrament of Reconciliation

March 28 * No regular classes, but families are encouraged to attend Stations of the Cross from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.

Volunteer as a Small Group Leader
The Edge Faith Formation Middle School Ministry is looking for parents of middle school kids, adults, and high school teens in their junior or senior year to minister to our middle school youngsters on Wednesday nights. Ministering as an Edge small group leader is a great way to help middle schoolers grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus and the Catholic Church.

Youth activities for 6th-8th graders occur several times throughout the year. Annual events include Winter Blast and Chillfest lock-ins, the Snowball dance, Ski Club each January, and Summer Stretch in the summer.

Ski Club 2012:  Dates: January 13, January 20, February 3, February 10, February 17 and Make up Date:  February 24, 2012

Departure from St. Michael – 4:00 p.m. (Please Arrive by 3:45 p.m.)

Return to St. Michael -10:00 p.m.

Cost: $195- Bus ride, 5 Lift Tickets, 3 Lessons, and/or rental equipment – $165 Bus ride, 5 Light Tickets – $100 – Bus ride, 3 Lessons (Season pass holders only)
