Grades 9 & 10

Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation is usually received in 10th grade following a two-year preparation program offered during the ninth and tenth grade Faith Formation classes. The program includes speakers who challenge the youth to deepen their faith, fieldtrips, mission outreach (to Sharing & Caring Hands, Feed My Starving Children, Magnifying Abilities and others), retreats (Quest, Lifeteen, TEC and NET) and small group sharing time.

Confirmation in 2011 will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, at the Basilica of St. Mary.

Program Information

Class Schedule: 9^th & 10^th graders meet on Wednesday evenings; occasionally classes are combined for a speaker or event.

9th Grade 6:00 – 7:15 p.m.
10th Grade 7:30 – 8:45 p.m.

Curriculum: Our program is speaker based with table groups consisting of five or six teens at a table with one or two table leaders.

2010-11 Registration Information
Tuition: $195 per child *tuition grants available

August 14-15 – After weekend Masses in Archangels Hall
August 16 – Online registration opens for those who intend to pay full tuition up front. Payments by major credit cards or Paypal will be accepted.
August 18 & 25 – 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Archangels Hall
August 28-29 – After weekend Masses in Archangels Hall
Faith Formation registration is open through September 1.

Volunteer as a Small Group Leader
Volunteers are needed to be small group table leaders. Table groups consist of five or six teens and one or two table leaders during Wednesday evening classes. Training is provided. 11^th and 12^th graders are encouraged to stay with the program as small group leaders.
