    Philosophy

    • The aim of Call to Faith is to form children into disciples who act with the mind and heart of Jesus.
    • Catechesis is a lifelong process. We are touched and transformed by the living God and by the lived Tradition of the community throughout our lives.
    • The whole parish community (including parents, family members, catechists, and pastor) is called to hand on the faith through faith sharing and the witness of daily life.

Faith Formation Class Schedule:

Wednesdays (September through April)
Grade 1-5 ... 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. or 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Grade 6 ... 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Program Fees: Registration Fee - $10.00 (Non-refundable)
Program Tuition: $100.00 per child (Tuition grants available)

RECONCILIATION AND EUCHARIST
In the Church of St. Michael, children in the second grade are invited to begin formal preparation to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation (Penance) and Eucharist (Communion) for the first time.
The Faith Formation Office coordinates the preparation of children in both the St. Michael Faith Formation program and St. Michael School program.

Program Overiew:
Celebrating our Faith (textbook) materials are taught each week in the St. Michael Faith Formation and St. Michael School classrooms.
Celebrating our Faith materials also involve parents intimately in the preparation of their children. These are grace-filled opportunitiees to catechize adults as well as children.

First Reconciliation is celebrated communally, with individual confession and absolution, on Sunday, November 18, 2007, at 4:00 p.m.

First Communion is celebrated during the weekend of:
May 3, 2008 at the 5:00 p.m. Mass
May 4, 2008 at the 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Masses
and this year we will have a large group on Sunday May 4, at 2:00 p.m.
