Have you ever had that “Holy Spirit nudge” to volunteer but then wondered how to make it happen? Several times a month volunteer opportunities will be listed in the Volunteer Corner in the bulletin. Additionally, an ongoing list of volunteer opportunities will be posted here. Volunteer Now — Immediate Volunteer Opportunities

  • Cemetery volunteers needed –Volunteers are needed for mowing, trimming and general maintenance of the cemetery. If you are willing to volunteer for this ministry of maintaining the cemetery for this summer, please contact Steve Schmid, Cemetery Chair, at 952-210-7025.
  • SpringFest Parish Festival, May 18-20, 2012 We  need volunteers to serve as booth managers for fun booths like cotton candy, bake sale, lollipop tree, etc.  We also need hundreds of volunteers to help out by taking a 2-hour shift on one of the days.   • Eucharistic Adoration — Come and spend time with the Lord! Contact Nancy Curti at 952-445-4081 if you can fill one or more of these time slots. We have an immediate need for adorers during the following times:
    • Tuesdays— 3:00-4:00 p.m., and 5:00-6:00 p.m.
    • Thursdays—3:00-4:00 p.m., and 8:00-9:00 p.m.
    • First Fridays—9:00-10:00 a.m.

    We are in need of  “subs” to and please contact Nancy Curti too if you can help!

  • Retired or semi-retired? Ignatian Volunteer Corps is for you – Would you like to make a significant contribution with your life to the lives of others? The Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) is an opportunity for adult men and women to share their life skills and wisdom in direct service to the poor.  Volunteers work in local social service and educational programs. A carefully guided process of reflection helps IVC volunteers to discover the deeper meaning of the work they do. For additional information, please call 952-393-4582 or email twincities@ivcusa.org.
  • Volunteer Drivers & Visitors Needed—Aging Services for Communities is looking for Respite Volunteers to share a cup of coffee with an elderly person and Volunteer Drivers to take clients to medical appointments. Mileage reimbursement will be offered for volunteering. Please call 507-364-5663 for more information.
  • Write and/or edit for The Angelus E-Newsletter — If you have enjoyed receiving our new parish e-newsletter, The Angelus, please consider contributing a story or volunteering 1-3 hours per month as an editor.
